The tiny seeds are the size of black pepper and are grown gently in a water garden until hardy enough to thrive in the warm North Carolina sunshine. Tobacco grows quickly so by Labor Day the plants have grown to the size of an adult man. Each leaf is hand picked and hung in a special barn to dry and cure.

Only the best leaves are chosen. In the months to come the flavor of the tobacco develops and heightens. The leaf is then taken- some burley, some Virginia, and a pinch of oriental for extra zing, and blended carefully to optimize the flavors of the fine tobacco.
